Through tithing, we demonstrate our trust in God's ability to provide and open the floodgates of blessings upon us.

7. Luke 6:38 – "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." When we give generously and cheerfully, we not only bless others but also position ourselves to receive God's abundant blessings in return.

Our faithfulness with earthly wealth reflects our readiness to handle true spiritual riches. God wants to bless us with spiritual abundance, but He also tests our faithfulness with material possessions.

12. Proverbs 11:28 – "Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf." Placing our trust in wealth is a sure path to disappointment. Instead, we are called to trust in God's provision and seek His righteousness. When we do so, we will flourish like a green leaf, constantly refreshed by God's blessings.

Matthew 6:19-21 – "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Jesus reminds us of the fleeting nature of earthly treasures. Instead, we are encouraged to invest in heavenly treasures, which are eternal.
